XENOPHON -student of Socrates- the OTHER writer of his dialogs

#Xenophon is the forgotten #superhero of #AncientGreece. This guy was a student of #Socrates, along with Plato...and besides writing his own version of the Dialogues and his teacher's last days, he also wrote a kid's book on military conquest which Alexander surely read, and Queen Elizabeth translated. The Education of Cyrus, #Oeconomia, the text that gave the name to #Economics. He was also the general of a Greek mercenary troop that hired itself out to the Persians. Great guy, super writer, incredible #philosophy.

He is a nice little piece of #decor_art, standing only 5inches and a perfect #inexpensivegift for a #Classics #scholar...or perhaps a favorite #professorgift.
