Mahler, cold cast bronze statuette of Gustaf Mahler

Mahler somehow has remained my very best piece, and the best seller as well. The detail, the expression.... Perhaps it was because I was listening to the Ruckert songs when I created him?

I finally decided that he had to be done in bronze...real bronze and not a plaster patina. I used half a jar of bronze dust with resin to make him. He is heavy, and feels like metal. It took me nearly three hours of buffing to get the resin surface to let the bronze come through. He is worth all the trouble. You will love him
