Did you know that William James is the only #philosopher mentioned in the AA Big Book, where his book, #TheVarietiesofReligiousExperience, is quoted. James marks the first in my series of contemporary philosophers and academic heros. Keynes is on the way, as well as Hayek, Menger and Jane Jacobs for my group of economists. I have yet to start Whitehead and Popper, but may opt for a few Enlightenment favorites, Spinoza and David Hume preceding Popper. These are all actually for book illustrations. Marcus Aurelius and Socrates already have found their place in my upcoming volume "Stupidity and the Sublime."
